Focus Areas of the Second Funding Period
The new focus areas of the second funding period examine the relationship between adventure and lived experience in more detail. Three of these areas are grounded in fields of human experience which are of particular importance to narratives of adventure: social order, violence and love. The fourth research area, which bears the title "Beyond Adventure", investigates the idea of a transgression that ends all adventurous transgressions and that exceeds/surpasses the realm of narratibility itself. Each research project participates in two of the focus areas.
